I received a $10 Bike Bandit gift card in the mail and, since I don't use them, I've decided to pass it on. I have nothing against them, I just prefer Peninsula Honda / The Motor Cafe for my OEM parts if I'm not using my local dealer.
So leave a comment and I'll pick one at random. Good Luck and thanks for reading this blog.
While I need a new tire for the front of my CB550 I am not sure it would be less costly at Bike Bandit.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what to go with. Any relative opinions on various the current offering of rubber to fit a 3.25x19 wheel or 100/90-19 sized tire?
Pirelli has the MT66, Sport Diablo, Dunlop has the D404 and K70, Bridgestone has a BT45 Battlax.
The Pirelli is quite inexpensive at American Moto Tire; in the $61/62 range for the H rated MT66 as opposed to in 80s at Bike Bandit.
Would love some advice and opinions and thoughts... Maybe a topic best for the vjmc list?
Thanks!
David
I put BT-45's on my R100RS and they are fabulous! Great grip on both dry and wet. On a trip to PA last fall through the Alleghenies with heavy wind and rain they were rock solid. I loved the confidence they gave me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't got enough miles on them to know how well they wear but my feeling has always been that grip is more important than high mileage.
I like the Pirellis. Cheap! I've bought 2 of the MT 66s and can't find a fault with them!
