I admit that it's hard to write anything when the weather's great, a friend comes over with a dirt bike and I've found a whole new area a hour from my house.
Yes, that's a 40 year old Yamaha DT-1 250cc. Nothing stopped it which is a tribute to the great engineering that went into to it.
The only problem we had was ween Jason missed cresting a hill climb and bumped into a tree as he worked his way back down. That disturbed a hornet's nest and we were quickly running away from the stinging swarm. We stood around at a good distance for several minutes until they calmed down before going back to get the bike.

Maybe spend two days a week playing and the other days out of the week writing, honing skills that can be improved or training you can take while you have more time on your hands, and looking for more work.

I know you like the Transalp. Well, I'm fond of it too and noticed this ebay listing for a Transalp in San Diego that has had an Africa Twin conversion done to it. I don't know the Africa Twin if I would see it but it definately is a take-off of the Transalp.

Thanks for the encouragement! My TA is recovering from being buried in snow when the garage collapsed. The trouble is that the plastic parts are no longer available! I was going to tart it up and keep it as a 70/30 DS bike.
